Winter Wonderland Charm Card

Hello everyone!  Today is

Card Making Monday with the beautiful 

Card Making Kits from

Sherri Baldy My Besties.

I have used papers, trim, bits and pieces and flowers from the kit

to decorate this.

I even used the stamp in a whole new way to make a charm to adorn

this card.

Let's begin

I have used Shrinky Dinks  Frosted Ruff N Ready sheets

to make this.

I bought a pack from my local art store, Michaels for $5.99.

I took the stamp in the kit and stamped on the ruff side of the sheet.

Let's talk inks

I tried both inks and I will show you the results.

Make sure to use StazOn.  Memento will smear.

If you don't have the stamp, you can use the digi.

You will need to print on a inkjet printer only for this.

Let is dry a few minutes and color as you would using the stamp.

What did I use to color. 

You don't need expensive or any special coloring tools.

I used regular colored pencils I bought at Walmart

in a 72 pack.  These are just like Crayola.  These are CraZart brand.

When you color you do NOT need to put down a lot of color as when

the charm shrinks, the color intensifies.  A very light hand will work.

Here is the stamped image colored and a hole added to hang.

Use a larger size hole punch as the hole will shrink.

I have used the standard size of 1/8"

Make sure to leave space between punched hole and all edges to allow for

the shrinkage.

Here is preshrunk with the complete shrunk charms.

You can fussy cut around or use dies to cut out the image before

you shrink.

I used a oven.  Instructions are easy.

325* for 1 to 3 minutes.

Mine took around only 2.

Here is the completed one to show you how much the color intensifies.
