Photo Album 6x6

Hey everyone!!  Today I have for you a 6x6 photo album
that has been in the making for some time.  Picking the papers
and planning this has left me with an album I am very pleased with.
Time to get the pictures ready and put them all in.

I will have a complete list below with all the papers I used and the digis
I used inside and outside.  Majority is all Sherri Baldy My Besties.

Plus where you can find the the tutorial that served as the inspiration
to complete this smaller version to the size I wanted.
I cut the base to measure at 6 1/4 x 6 1/4 to accommodate for 6 x 6 paper.

The closure is a die from Spellbinders Tranquil Moments cut in half
and then attached a small earth magnet and then took the cut half and layered to
sandwich the magnet.

There is a magnet under all this and then another is inside the flap to hold closed.

The possibilities are endless.  The picture mats in the waterfalls are 3x3.

This is a photoshop altered paper that I added a digi I colored and turned into
a png file to make a custom paper for the front.
This is img4331  You can find her HERE

Another new product I just found existed and used for this project
is Kraft-tex.  I purchased from Amazon as that was the
only place I could find it.  It is used for the spine on both sides.
I love this stuff.

Little Sweetie

Valentines Day is approaching and I have began with a few cards
and today I have for you a adorable image from
This is Sweetie Pie and you can find her HERE

I started with a Recollections premade card base in  5" x 6 1/2"
I used Craft Smith paper pad in Natural Luxury for my paper choices.

For the polka dot paper, I used Spellbinders Scalloped Borders Two
to trim the bottom and layered over the top of the two tone striped.  I love
this set as you get a variety of cutting trims to use with the two
 decorative cut out pieces.

I used Spellbinders Pierced Squares to cut out a window for my image,
which fit nicely in the 3" square and then used the pierced piece
the next size larger.  I think it look like she is sitting in a window
with her elbows on the ledge.

For another touch, I used La La Land pennant heart die.

Since she looked like she was in a window, I added her a small
rose garden below.  I used various roses from the $1 bins at
Michaels, and the leaves were in my stash from a previous
project.  They were cut from the Cricut Design Space library.

I used the left over pieces from the front to add to the inside where
you can add a sentiment, which I will personalize for a friend.

I used Copics and Prismacolor Premiers to color this little Sweetie.

I hope you have enjoyed this little cutie.

I have entered this into challenge

Looking Gorgeous

Hey everyone!  Today I wanted to do some coloring and
create a birthday card for a friend.
I am one to always send a uplifting or over the top comical
birthday message.  Today it is uplifting.

I started with a 6.5 x 5 card base from Recollections, given to me as a gift in a package,
which works great for little quick and easy projects to satisfy the crafty, I GOT AN IDEA, moment.

The image I am using is All Dressed Up, Looking Gorgeous.
You can find it HERE along with many more wonderful digi images.

I have colored her with copics.
Skin: E50, 51 ,53 ,33
Hair: E57, E53, 51 and one SN  GB8
Flowers: RV00, R81, 85
The leaves and various other small parts I decided to pull out the gel pens.

I then embossed the entire panel with a Darice embossing folder and cut a cereal box to use
as a diffuser for the girl.  Any areas that did get embossed on my image I
used a bone folder to flatten again.

I used Pebbles Classic chalk to go around my image and to dust the raised
embossed images.

I hope you have enjoyed todays little birthday project.

Write it All Down- New Year, New Journal

Happy NEW YEAR!!!!!

2016 is under way and so is My Besties International January Challenge,
LOTS OF COLOR

To start the new year I have created a journal for all my ideas and notes.
I have used Sherri Baldy My Besties digi Brittany 2

For this challenge the theme was Lots of Color.  I tried to get every color onto this.

I then began decorating.

I started with texture paste and a stencil directly onto the front.

You can add anything you want.

For more added texture I used gesso and applied paper towel and
a bit of lace.  Let this all dry before adding more layers or color.

You can make as big or as little, thick or thin as you want.
How did I make this:

Materials:
chipboard, old cereal box cut to size  2- 4" x  6" and 1- 1/2" x 6"
Outside covering  1- 8" x 9 1/2"
Inside coverings  2- 3 7/8" x 5 7/8", 1-2 1/2" x 5 7/8"
Notecard pieces (as many as needed to fill your pad base) 3 3/4" x 5 1/2"
Covering for notes 5 1/2" x 7 7/8"
A piece of deco mesh

I hope you have enjoyed todays project.
