Hot Cocoa with Flair

Hello everyone!  Ever need one of those last minute small gifts with something
already in the house as you don't have time to run out and get something?
Well, I had one of those moments as my Mail Lady is leaving on vacation after
her shift today til after Christmas.  Yes, I live in a small enough town that
she spends a few minutes talking to you if you happen to be seen by her.
Love it!!
I made a hot cocoa sleeve and gave it my flair for a one of a kind gift.

I just measured how wide and doubled that and added 1" for a 1/2" side, cut it
and then scored in 1/2" on both sides.  Then I measured the height of the packets
and added 1/2" and cut.  I glued the 1/2' sides on top of each other and made
a tube to slide the packet into.
I took some paper and cut to fit the front and stamped FOR YOU
and attached to the tube.  Took some ribbon and glued to half of the front
added my digi image over that.  Just wrap your ribbon around and tie a bow.
I just happened to have a spoon mold, bought at Michaels, and peppermint candies.
Put the candies in my blender and chopped them up, put in the mold in my oven at
300* for about 20 minutes and now I have some sweet stir sticks for
the hot cocoa.  Dipped them in chocolate and attached to the sleeve.

Now I have 7 more peppermint spoons to make some more little
gifts to give out.  I guess I better get busy.

They image I used is Sherri Baldy My Besties img932
You can find this one and many more adorable digis at

Hope you have liked today project.

xoxo
